The Scientix Teacher Data Literacy Award, supported by the EVIDALI project, has been launched as part of the Scientix Awards for Technology, under the framework of the Scientix community initiatives that recognise innovative practices in science and technology education across Europe.
The award recognises teachers who have carried out a teacher inquiry or action research at classroom or school level using education data. It highlights practices where teachers collect and analyse data, such as assessments, surveys, behavioural observations, school climate data or other sources and use these insights to inform changes in their teaching or school practices.
Seven selected teachers will join the EVIDALI Expert Teacher Team and contribute to the project by documenting their practice in a data-use scenario, reviewing peer contributions, participating in an interview for the EVIDALI MOOC, and providing feedback on the MOOC syllabus.
This activity represents an important step for the EVIDALI project, as it helps identify and document concrete examples of how teachers use data in their everyday practice. These contributions will support the project’s work in analysing data literacy practices in schools and informing the development of future project resources, including the EVIDALI MOOC.
Further information about the Scientix Teacher Data Literacy Award and how to submit a contribution can be found on the Scientix website.
